About the Role
The Maintenance Manager/Planner position is a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of our packhouse facility in Hoedspruit. We are seeking an experienced and skilled individual to oversee maintenance activities, plan and execute repairs, and maintain equipment to minimize downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on machinery and equipment
- Plan and execute repairs, replacements, and upgrades as needed
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations
- Monitor and report equipment performance and maintenance needs
- Collaborate with production staff to minimize downtime and optimize productivity
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance
Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Strong mechanical and electrical maintenance experience
- Relevant trade qualification is essential
- Minimum of 5 years as a qualified artisan, with electrical expertise suited for production environments
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, refrigeration, boiler making, and rigging
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience in the agricultural or packhouse industry is an advantage
