Job Summary

Main Job Responsibilities: Ensure that all incidents relevant to SHER are reported, investigated, corrected and learnings disseminated. Ensure that all relevant environmental authorizations operating licenses/permits are applied for and are up-to-date and compliance to conditions are monitored. Ensure the company is compliant with all applicable SHER legislation and other requirements to which the company subscribes. Monitor SHER performance by gathering relevant data and producing statical reports. Ensure that all legal appointments are in place in terms of applicable legislation. Develop and maintain the occupational health management and monitoring programme. Manage all SHER site surveys, audits and assessments. Drive the culture of quality, health, safety and environment by raising awareness of SHEQ throughout the site through various initiatives, communication plans and training. Manage all SHER related training requirements. Assess the site current sustainability performance, identify and prioritize the site key sustainability strategies, i.e., drive energy efficiencies, resource recovery, reduce waste and increase efficiencies, etc. Responsible for developing adequate plans/ controls to prevent pollution, respond to emergencies and ensure business continuity. Ensure compliance with system and operational protocols, policies, and procedures at site. The ongoing Review of the Compliance for implementation of/and compliance to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as means to ensure operational excellence. Provide detailed audit reports with findings. Identify non-conformities and provide corrective action measures to prevent re-occurrence. Monitor and review those corrective measures that have been implemented. Maintain and enhance internal and external customer and contractor relations. Need to liaise with the team on all initiatives throughout the business and accurately reporting on the reduction of the carbon footprint, GHG, NAEIS etc
