About the Role
Our client, a market leader operating out of Humansdorp, is seeking an experienced Senior Technician to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and supervising a team of technicians to achieve production efficiency and maintenance targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of technicians to achieve production efficiency and maintenance targets
- Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on UHT/ESL filling and downstream equipment
- Drive equipment reliability through advanced fault-finding and troubleshooting
- Support line specialists and foremen in daily operational activities
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards
- Monitor team performance and maintain high engineering standards
- Participate in standby duties, shift work, and overtime as required
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and maintenance planning
- Ensure accurate completion of maintenance reports and documentation
Requirements
- Qualified Millwright or Electrician (Trade Tested)
- Minimum 6 years post-qualification experience in FMCG or related manufacturing environment
- Previous Senior Technician / supervisory experience preferred
- Tetra Pak Maintenance Courses (advantageous)
