1. Linux Systems Administration

• Troubleshooting system issues using logs and performance data.

2. Windows Systems Administration

• Administering Windows servers (AD/LDAP, DHCP, DNS, NPS, IIS, Hyper-V, etc.).
• User support and Windows-based file server management.
• Ownership of server health, patching, and updates.

3. Networking

• Manage enterprise-level networks (Core/Distribution/Access).
• VLANs, ZeroTier, WireGuard, iptables/nftables, firewalls (FortiGate, MikroTik, pfSense).
• IPAM/DCIM and network monitoring (Zabbix, Nagios, Data Dog, New Relic).

4. Database Support

• Basic support for Postgres, Oracle, MariaDB.
• Backups/restores, minor SQL queries, TNS listener troubleshooting.

5. Server & Storage

• Manage SAN, NAS, DAS, LVM, LUNs (HPE SAN, Synology, FreeNAS).
• Hardware assembly, RAID setup, LTO tape systems.
• Experience with Veeam, NetVault, and performance tuning.

6. Virtualization & Clusters

• Administer XCP-ng/Xen, Hyper-V clusters; VMware and container tech (Docker/K8s) advantageous.
• Setup, maintain, and troubleshoot high-availability clusters.

7. IT Operations & Administration

• ITIL/ITSM practices for incident/change/config management.
• IT asset management (procurement, warranties, vendor SLAs).
• Collaboration with Finance, Audit, and other departments.
• Documentation, reporting, and user training.

Key Requirements

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Information Systems, IT Management, or related field.
• Relevant certifications (e.g. A+, N+, MTCNA, LPIC1, MCSA 2016).

Experience

• 5+ years in a senior systems/network role.
• Proven technical leadership and project ownership.
