The successful candidate will act as a key link between suppliers, internal teams, and customers, ensuring alignment and delivering commercial success. Key Requirements Degree in Science (BSc or equivalent) 5–10 years’ experience in water and wastewater treatment products/solutions Proven experience in sales and key account management Strong technical knowledge of water treatment Demonstrated commercial acumen and P&L exposure Experience in product or sourcing environments (advantageous) Manufacturing exposure (beneficial) Key Responsibilities ? Product Strategy & Development Develop and implement product strategies aligned with business objectives Manage new product development and existing product portfolios Conduct market research, costing, and forecasting activities ? Market Positioning & Growth Identify market opportunities and competitive advantages Work with marketing teams to enhance product positioning Engage with industry bodies and drive brand presence ? Lifecycle & Operational Management Oversee full product lifecycle from launch to discontinuation Monitor performance and implement improvements based on data insights Collaborate with supply chain, production, and quality teams ? Key Responsibilities 1. Commercial & Business Development Support the Commercial Director with strategic business development initiatives. Assist in divisional strategic projects. Identify and evaluate business opportunities within the freight and logistics sector. Prepare and submit high-quality commercial proposals. Research and screen tenders, RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs. Support proposal development in collaboration with Head Office and business units. 2. ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) Compile, update, and manage ESG reporting templates. Distribute templates and track submissions from business units. Review, verify, and consolidate ESG reports. Maintain ESG clarification and adjustment schedules. Prepare ESG Committee meeting packs and take minutes. Coordinate ESG-related data, including ethics line cases and performance metrics. 3. Transformation Reporting Manage Transformation reporting templates and distribution. Monitor submissions from business units. Review, balance, and consolidate Transformation workbooks and reports. 4. Risk & Insurance Support Risk Committee Coordinate Risk Committee logistics, including meeting invites and reminders. Consolidate divisional risk registers and operational reports. Prepare meeting packs and record minutes. Insurance Risk Surveys Assist with insurance risk surveys and monitor divisional feedback. Support preparation of quarterly risk survey reports. Insurance Portfolio Management Coordinate annual insurance renewal declarations: Construction All Risk (CAR) and Group Personal Accident (GPA) Marine Liability and Marine Impact Non-Marine (Assets, Business Interruption, General Liability) Review and consolidate submissions. Verify premiums and ensure timely processing. Distribute insurance confirmations to business units. Claims Management Liaise with business units and insurance brokers. Track and manage claims, including complex cases. Maintain claims statistics and prepare quarterly reports. Coordinate quarterly claims review meetings. Support broker service meetings and communications. Assist with regulatory compliance and claims reserve oversight. 5. Governance & Compliance Coordinate IT and data privacy training (e.g., KnowBe4 platform). Manage quarterly ethics declarations. Maintain distribution lists for ESG, Risk, and Transformation communications. Participate in HSSE Committee meetings. 6. Emergency Preparedness Act as Emergency Controller and coordinate office evacuations when required. Qualifications & Experience Bachelors degree with a relevant postgraduate qualification. Minimum 5 years experience in a commercial role. Experience in freight, logistics, or maritime sectors is advantageous. Skills & Competencies Strong analytical and reporting skills. Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency. Excellent verbal and written communication. Strong organisational and planning abilities. Critical thinking and problem-solving capability. Tender, bid, and project management expertise. Business analytics capability. Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
