About the Role
Hire Resolve’s client is seeking an experienced Asset Manager to join their team in Johannesburg. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of assets to ensure maximum return on investment and optimum operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Trade booking, confirmation, and settlement
- Ensure that all trades executed are entered completely and accurately into back-office systems
- Liaison with trade counterparties to agree trade details and ensure instructions are matched in the market
- Responsible for the setup and static data maintenance of Bonds and Issuers in relevant systems
- Fail Management and monitoring of alleged trades.
- Trade management of all trades
- Escalation of all unsettled and unmatched trades to management daily fail reporting
- Completing transfers in/out
- Reconciliations
- Reconciling daily Cash, Stock position and inter-system breaks and ensuring all breaks are resolved in a timely manner
- Regulatory Reporting
- Quarterly reconciliation
- Monthly and quarterly performance reporting
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, or a relevant field.
- Proven experience in asset management
- Strong financial acumen and proficiency in financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Excellent understanding of the local market conditions and regulatory requirements
- Advanced knowledge of real estate valuation methods, investment analysis, and property management principles.
- Ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with clients and partners.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Proficient in using industry-specific software and tools, including financial modeling and asset management systems.
