Job Description

Hire Resolve’s client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supply Planner to join their team in the Western Cape region of South Africa. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the pharmaceutical industry and a solid understanding of supply chain management principles. The Supply Planner will be responsible for developing and executing supply plans to ensure the availability of pharmaceutical products to meet customer demand while minimizing operational costs and inventory levels.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement supply plans based on forecasts, demand trends, and production capacity constraints
  • Monitor and analyze inventory levels, production schedules, and transportation lead times
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as production, procurement, and logistics to ensure the timely delivery of products
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks such as shortages, backorders, and stockouts
  • Continuously review and improve supply chain processes to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer service levels
  • Generate regular reports and KPIs to track performance against targets and recommend corrective actions when necessary

Requirements:

  • Relevant Graduate Bachelors University degree in Supply Chain Management (BComm),
    Logistics (BComm) or Engineering (BIng)
  • 3+ years experience in supply planning, supply chain analytics, industrial engineering or pharmaceutical industry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in supply chain planning software (e.g. SAP, Oracle)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in the FMCG/Pharmaceutical industries is advantageous
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Good working knowledge with ERP systems (SAP), Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and
    BI Platforms
