Job Summary

Job Duties and Responsibilities – Efficient “start to end” claims handling including data entry and quoting assessment. – Assessing and validating claim information, including reviewing documentation and conducting investigations to determine coverage and liability. – Engaging with the company`s Service Providers to collate the correct information to complete Insurance Claims reports and submit for approval. – Maintaining accurate records and documentation throughout the claims process. – Identifying and escalating potential fraudulent activities or discrepancies for further investigation. – Ensuring compliance with regulatory and company guidelines and procedures. – Communicating with policyholders, Insurance partners and Pros to manage a claim to completion. – Contributing to the continuous improvement of claims processes and customer experience through feedback and innovative solutions. – Provide friendly and outstanding customer service – Respond to enquiries in a timely and efficient manner – Work efficiently in a multilingual and multicultural team – Participating in training and development opportunities to enhance industry knowledge and professional skills. Key Competencies – Knowledge of the function, process and systems of Insurance. – Excellent communication skills – Both written and verbal. – Ability to thrive in a deadline driven environment, handling more than one project (claim)at a time. – Previous experience in a similar environment is essential. – Feel comfortable with a level of ambiguity and an unstructured environment, agile by nature and be comfortable with things changing quickly and often. – Passionate about people and bringing out the best in them. – Able to create structure in ambiguous situations and design effective processes. Qualifications and Skills Essential Skills / Experience: – A minimum of 2 years of experience in claims handling, specifically in home insurance. – Knowledge of the South African insurance market, regulations, and industry trends. – Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. – Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathize with customers and provide clear explanations. – Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple claims simultaneously. – Proficiency in Google Suite (preferred, but not essential) and experience with claims management software. – A commitment to providing excellent customer service and upholding the company values and mission. – Relevant insurance qualifications are highly desirable. Desirable Skills / Experience – Working in insurance / call center, BPO operation – Working in tech, SAAS or marketplace startup – Working in insurance / call center, BPO operations
