Purpose of the Role: The Cashier/Receptionist is responsible for providing excellent customer service, managing the front desk, handling payments, and ensuring smooth daily salon operations. This role is key in creating a welcoming environment for all clients. Key Responsibilities: Welcome and assist clients as they arrive at the salon. Manage appointments, bookings, and walk-ins using the salon system. Handle all cashier duties, including processing payments (cash, card, EFT). Answer phone calls, respond to messages, and provide accurate service information. Maintain a clean, organised reception area. Upsell products and services where appropriate. Assist with administrative tasks such as printing schedules and confirming appointments. Work closely with salon management and stylists to ensure smooth daily operations. Handle customer queries and escalate complaints to management when needed. Minimum Requirements: Matric / Grade 12 Previous experience as a cashier or receptionist (salon experience is an advantage) Strong communication and customer service skills Basic computer knowledge and ability to work on booking systems Well-groomed, friendly, and professional Ability to work weekends and public holidays
