Johannesburg: CNC Setter /Operator /Programmer

Minimum Requirements Matric Technical certification / Trade Tested (Highly Advantageous) Experience working on Fanuc and Siemens control systems Minimum of 3 years of experience as a CNC Setter, Operator, or Programmer with CNC lathe/turning centers Set up CNC lathes by mounting, adjusting, and aligning tools, fixtures, and work pieces Operate CNC machines efficiently, monitoring performance to identify malfunctions or deviations from specifications Inspect machined components using precision measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, bore gauges) to verify compliance with drawings and tolerances Adhere to all company safety standards, guidelines, and procedures. Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area in accordance with 5S principles Demonstrate expert knowledge of G-code and M-code for both Fanuc and Siemens control platforms Create simple programs for basic components or operations using available conversational programming features Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T specifications. Advanced knowledge of G-code/M-code, with the ability to perform program edits and cycle optimizations Skilled in using precision inspection equipment Solid understanding of tooling, inserts, and cutting parameters for turning applications
