About the Role
We are seeking an experienced CNC Setter/Operator/Programmer to join our team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in toolmaking and experience working with CNC vertical machining centres.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain CNC milling machines
- Program and set up CNC machines using G-code and Cam software
- Use measuring equipment such as verniers, dial test indicator, and micrometres to ensure accurate measurements
- Perform manual and computer programming tasks
- Work independently with minimal supervision
Requirements
- Matric certificate
- Valid driver’s license
- 5 – 10 years of experience in the toolmaking trade
- Previous experience as a Toolmaker, Fitter & Turner, or in a related field is required
- Sound knowledge and experience on CNC vertical machining centre (CNC milling machines)
- Experience working with Mitsubishi Controls
- Good understanding and knowledge of G-code
- Experience working with Cam software, preferably EdgeCam / MasterCam
