Johannesburg: Cold Store Warehouse Manager posted by Hire Resolve

Hire Resolve’s client is seeking a highly organized and motivated individual to fill the role of Cold Store Warehouse Manager in their food production facility in Gauteng. The ideal candidate will have experience managing a cold store warehouse in the food production industry and will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the warehouse operations.

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily operations of the cold store warehouse, including receiving, storing, picking, and shipping of products
• Ensure efficient and accurate inventory management, including regular stock takes and cycle counts
• Implement and maintain food safety standards and procedures in compliance with relevant regulations
• Develop and implement warehouse policies and procedures to optimize operational efficiency
• Supervise and train warehouse staff, ensuring high levels of performance and productivity
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators, including inventory levels, order accuracy, and on-time delivery
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate warehouse activities and support production schedules
• Implement and maintain health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all staff

Requirements:

• Proven experience in managing a cold store warehouse in the food production industry
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with warehouse management software and systems
• Forklift and other relevant certifications are a plus
• 3 to 5 years of experience in sales roles in FMCG preferably wholesale / Distributors, and/or Foodservice
• Able to read reviews, forecast numbers, etc.
