About the Role
Edgexec (Pty) Ltd is seeking a strategic Commercial Executive to drive profitability, pricing strategy, and financial insight within its large-scale logistics environment. This role sits at the centre of operational decision-making, partnering with senior leadership to unlock margin opportunities and guide long-term commercial strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Co-create and execute national commercial and financial strategy with executive leadership
- Provide strategic commercial insight that supports profitability and operational performance
- Oversee customer pricing frameworks and support major contract negotiations
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes across the business
- Drive profitability analysis through activity-based costing and financial modelling
- Evaluate new projects, investment opportunities, and operational initiatives
- Oversee Capex planning, feasibility assessments, and post-implementation reviews
- Deliver high-quality financial reporting and commercial insight to leadership teams
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, internal governance standards, and financial controls
- Lead and develop a high-performing finance and commercial support team
Requirements
- CA or CMA qualification
- Approximately 15 years of experience in commercial finance, costing, and operational financial support
- Experience in logistics, FMCG, or supply chain environments is advantageous
- Strong expertise in financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis
- Experience with activity-based costing and commercial pricing strategies
- Strong understanding of IFRS, tax legislation, and financial governance
- Advanced Excel and strong financial systems exposure, with SAP experience advantageous
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills
