Job Title: Commodity Superintendent – Mining
Location: Gauteng, South Africa
Position Overview:
Hire Resolve`s Client are seeking a skilled and experienced Commodity Superintendent to join our mining operation in Gauteng. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the commodity processing operations, including monitoring production, managing inventory levels, ensuring quality control, and managing a team of operators.

Responsibilities:
– Supervise and coordinate the activities of commodity processing operations to ensure efficient production and meeting production targets
– Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to optimize production processes
– Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate supplies of commodities and minimize waste
– Implement and oversee quality control procedures to ensure that all commodities meet company specifications
– Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to ensure compliance with safety regulations and identify any maintenance needs
– Manage a team of operators, providing guidance, training, and support as needed
– Develop and implement operational plans and strategies to achieve production goals and objectives
– Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement, logistics, and safety, to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues that may arise
– Stay current on industry trends, developments, and best practices to continuously improve operational efficiency and effectiveness
Qualifications:
– Bachelor`s degree in Mining Engineering, Metallurgy, or related field
– Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the mining industry
– Knowledge of commodity processing operations, including crushing, grinding, flotation, and filtration
– Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and coordinate a team
– Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment
– Solid understanding of safety regulations and procedures in the mining industry
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software applications
