About the Role
The Customer Order Specialist is a key member of our operations team, responsible for managing the end-to-end customer order process from receipt to delivery. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities to ensure seamless customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end customer order process from order receipt to final delivery
- Capture and process orders accurately using the company’s ERP system
- Coordinate closely with sales, production, and warehouse teams to ensure orders are fulfilled within dispatch timelines
- Monitor stock availability and proactively flag stock shortages
- Review production schedules and escalate where necessary to ensure orders are prioritised and delivered on time
- Track deliveries and ensure orders reach customers complete and on schedule
- Manage returns and resolve order-related issues quickly and effectively
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers, building strong relationships and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
Requirements
- Matric is a minimum requirement
- Previous experience in order management, customer service, or supply chain coordination
- Experience working with ERP systems
- Exposure to manufacturing, distribution, FMCG, or supply chain environments is advantageous
