About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Desktop Application Support Specialist to join our team in Johannesburg. As a key member of our IT infrastructure, you will be responsible for managing and supporting desktop applications across the organization, ensuring efficient deployment and troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage software packages in SCCM/MECM and ensure successful installations
- Develop, test, and deploy application packages in SCCM/MECM
- Implement and manage delta deployment strategies to minimize network load
- Provide second and third-level support for desktop application issues, including advanced troubleshooting
- Automate repetitive tasks using scripts and SCCM/MECM capabilities
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in desktop application deployment and support
- Expert-level proficiency with SCCM/MECM, including advanced packaging and deployment automation
- Strong experience with delta management and optimizing software distribution strategies
- Deep understanding of application dependencies, compatibility, and enterprise environments
- Advanced certifications preferred: Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Expert, Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Masters is a plus)
