Job Description
Our client in the Manufacturing Industry is currently looking to employ an Export Area Manager to be based in Elandsfontein.
Requirements:
-
Bachelors Degree in Sales and Marketing or related field (NQF 7).
-
Bachelors Honours Degree in Sales and Marketing or related field (NQF 8) will be advantageous.
-
68 years experience in Sales and Marketing within a manufacturing environment.
-
At least 3 years exposure to the Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) sales environment.
-
Strong computer literacy (MS Office Suite, SAP, ERP systems, and job-specific software).
-
Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
-
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
-
Proactive, action-oriented, and resilient.
-
Strong relationship-building and customer-focused approach.
-
Ability to plan, organise, and manage people effectively.
Responsibilities:
-
Drive and grow market share (including exports and sales) of products by brand and SKU.
-
Develop and implement action plans aligned with export strategies.
-
Identify and target new business opportunities and prepare business cases.
-
Introduce and implement marketing and promotion ideas in alignment with strategy.
-
Conduct bi-weekly meetings with management on the status of new business.
-
Monitor and analyse customer buying patterns to forecast stock requirements.
-
Ensure optimal stock availability by liaising with warehouses and assisting customers with stock management.
-
Co-manage debtors by ensuring timeous collection of outstanding monies and mitigating risks.
-
Communicate effectively with customers regarding credit terms, payments, and statements.
-
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure all permits and customer accounts are managed effectively.
-
Ensure administration, document control, and reporting systems are accurate and up to date.
-
Establish and maintain strong stakeholder and customer relationships to drive retention.
-
Resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely manner.
-
Monitor performance of internal and external service providers and implement development plans.
-
Contribute to budget preparation, monitor expenditure, and implement cost-saving initiatives.
-
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
Development and Training:

Identify areas of personal and professional growth and pursue relevant development.

Provide guidance and training to team members where applicable.
Other:

Perform any other reasonable duties as instructed by management that contribute to the success of the organisation.
