Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Operational Finance Leadership Run the full operational finance function across nine group entities. Oversee daily finance operations, cash flow management, transactional integrity, and financial controls. Ensure efficient, scalable processes suitable for a fast-paced Fintech environment. Financial Control & Reporting Deliver accurate and timeous monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting. Prepare and review consolidated financial statements and management packs. Provide strategic insights and advisory support directly to the CEO. Ensure compliance with IFRS across all entities. Multi-Entity Accounting & Consolidation Manage group consolidations and intercompany transactions. Oversee eliminations, reconciliations, funding flows, and entity-level alignment. Enforce consistent accounting treatment and reporting discipline across the group. Month-End Close Lead a structured month-end close with high levels of accuracy and accountability. Review and approve journals, provisions, accruals, reconciliations, and fixed asset registers. Maintain the integrity of all financial records across the group. Governance, Controls & Risk Strengthen internal controls, financial governance, and risk management frameworks. Implement automation, systems optimisation, and continuous process improvement. Uphold audit readiness and maintain clean control environments. Treasury & Cash Flow Oversee cash flow forecasting and liquidity management. Provide financial modelling and scenario planning for group decision-making. Audit & Compliance Lead external audits across all nine entities. Prepare audit files, manage timelines, and ensure clean audit outcomes. Ensure statutory and tax compliance across the group. Leadership & Team Management Lead a finance team of ±10 professionals, ensuring strong performance, accountability, and development. Build capacity within the team to support the organisations growth. Recruit, mentor, and develop emerging finance leaders. Minimum Requirements CA(SA) mandatory. 8 years post-articles experience in senior finance and operational finance roles. Experience managing multi-entity group structures . Proven experience running the full finance function (operational technical). Strong IFRS knowledge and financial reporting capability. Advanced MS Excel and strong systems experience (Sage Evolution advantageous). Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams of 10 or more . Experience in high-volume environments such as Fintech, Financial Services, Payments, or SaaS.
