About the Role

We are seeking an accomplished Head of Human Resources and Transformation to drive strategic HR excellence and enterprise-wide change in a leading organisation within the mining, manufacturing, and satellite communications environment. This is a rare opportunity for a senior HR leader to shape strategy, lead transformation, and make a measurable impact across complex, multi-sector operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute the HR and transformation strategy aligned to business objectives.
  • Drive talent acquisition, retention, succession planning, and leadership development.
  • Lead organisational change initiatives and ensure high levels of stakeholder adoption.
  • Oversee employee engagement, performance management, and well-being programmes.
  • Ensure full compliance with labour legislation, Employment Equity, and BBBEE requirements.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Postgraduate qualification or Masters degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years HR experience. At least 5 years in a senior HR leadership role.
  • Skills: Strong industrial relations and union engagement experience. Exposure to mining, manufacturing, or similarly regulated environments. HR systems experience (e.g. ESS People or similar). Solid financial and budget management acumen.

Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of MEIBC regulations.
  • Sound understanding of BBBEE Codes (Generic, IT, and Mining Charter).
