About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to provide general HR operational support to our department for 3-6 months. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of South African labour legislation and excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide general HR operational support to the department
  • Manage the Human Resources function for the assigned department
  • Provide guidance and support to management on HR policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Manage employee relations, including disciplinary processes, grievances, and conflict resolution
  • Ensure compliance with South African labour legislation including BCEA, LRA, and other relevant regulations
  • Support performance management processes
  • Maintain accurate HR records, documentation, and reporting
  • Maintain and oversee HR administration, records, and documentation
  • Work collaboratively with the other HR Managers and HR team
  • Support organisational development and HR strategy implementation
  • Provide guidance on training, development, and employee engagement initiatives

Requirements

  • Relevant HR qualification (Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or related field)
  • 4-7 years experience in an HR Manager role
  • Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation (BCEA, LRA, EE, POPIA etc.)
  • Experience handling employee relations, disciplinary processes, and CCMA matters
