About the Role
We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to provide general HR operational support to our department for 3-6 months. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of South African labour legislation and excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide general HR operational support to the department
- Manage the Human Resources function for the assigned department
- Provide guidance and support to management on HR policies, procedures, and best practices
- Manage employee relations, including disciplinary processes, grievances, and conflict resolution
- Ensure compliance with South African labour legislation including BCEA, LRA, and other relevant regulations
- Support performance management processes
- Maintain accurate HR records, documentation, and reporting
- Maintain and oversee HR administration, records, and documentation
- Work collaboratively with the other HR Managers and HR team
- Support organisational development and HR strategy implementation
- Provide guidance on training, development, and employee engagement initiatives
Requirements
- Relevant HR qualification (Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or related field)
- 4-7 years experience in an HR Manager role
- Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation (BCEA, LRA, EE, POPIA etc.)
- Experience handling employee relations, disciplinary processes, and CCMA matters
