About the Role
Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced FOH Night Auditor to join a luxury hotel in Cape Town. This role is responsible for accurate financial reconciliation, supporting night-time operations, and ensuring excellent guest service during overnight shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Review daily revenue reports to ensure all income is accurately recorded
- Verify departure reports and guest checkout folios to identify discrepancies
- Reconcile credit card transactions and close batches
- Prepare and process nightly financial and handover reports
- Balance Food & Beverage pre-lists and report discrepancies
- Provide accurate information and support to guests, anticipating their needs
- Handle guest messages, mail, packages, and faxes accurately
- Respond effectively in emergency and safety situations
- Oversee night operations across all outlets (Housekeeping, In-Room Dining, Stewarding, Security)
- Maintain high standards of personal hygiene, uniform, appearance, and conduct
Requirements
- Grade 12 certificate
- 2–3 years’ experience in a similar role within comparable hotels
- Accounting qualification or relevant experience
- Proficiency in Front Office tasks and hotel systems (Microsoft Office, PMS systems)
- Strong organisational, problem-solving, and networking skills
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations
- Fluent in English; additional languages are advantageous
