Hire Resolves client is urgently seeking the expertise of South African Instrumentation Technicians to work in Amersfoort, Netherlands. Please note that visa and sponsorship assistance provided. The successful candidates will service and maintain electrical work such as cabling, PLC fault finding, electrical motors, replacing sensors etc. besides that you will work on the mechanical side were you are working on conveyor belts, bearings, motors etc.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure and keep the installation and machines in good condition
• Carry out inspections, perform preventive maintenance and are involved in optimizations
• Carry out corrective maintenance and resolve malfunctions on complex machines and installations
• Provide improvement proposals and implement them together with your team
• Experience in PLC fault finding and basic programming
• Experience in industrial automation is an advantage
• You have good communication skills
• You can quickly switch between different projects and activities
• In your work you are independent and stress resistant

Requirements:

• Matric / N4
• Instrumentation Technician Trade Test Read Seal / Section 13
• Or Instrumentation Technician N6
• South African drivers license
• Completed 3 year apprenticeship
• Fluent in Afrikaans
• 1 3 years work experience post trade test advantageous
• National Diploma or any N1 – N6 advantageous
• Willing to work in the Netherland for one year and longer

The successful candidates will be responsible for the availability of the electrical installations. These include, among others, medium-voltage (10kV) systems, power and lighting distribution systems, as well as instrumentation and control technology (Siemens PCS7 system).

Responsibilities:

• Involved in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, modifications, and overhaul tasks
• Performing periodic inspections on systems, components, and tools
• Assessing the maintenance condition based on checklists and personal judgment
• Performing corrective maintenance resulting from inspections at scheduled times
• Acting as a supervisor for part of the installation during maintenance shutdowns, directing and guiding contractors work and ensuring safety, quality, and progress
• Troubleshooting systems and components based on notifications or work orders
• Assessing the nature, severity, and extent of faults and determining whether immediate repair is necessary or possible
• Proposing improvements to enhance technical conditions and creating technical drawings
• Installing/connecting measurement and control systems and programming components
• Keeping documentation and drawing files up to date
• Acting as the person responsible for safe work operations, switching in cabinets, and securing the installation.

Requirements:

• Matric / N4
• Instrumentation Technician Trade Test
• N1 N6 highly advantageous
• South African Drivers License
• Completed 3 year apprenticeship
• 35 years of experience as an Electrician
• Fluent in the Afrikaans language essential and mandatory
• Experience for any industry
• Familiarity with office software such as MS Office and SAP
• Basic knowledge of the German language advantageous
• Competencies: technical insight, problem analysis, flexibility, proactive attitude, teamwork, and communication skills.
