Job Summary

Job Title: Internal Controls Data Specialist Key Roles and

Responsibilities:

Risk Mitigation and Compliance: Utilize data to identify risks and recommend effective internal control measures to mitigate these risks. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, company control frameworks, delegation of authority, and policies through continuous monitoring and evaluation. Testing and Validation: Design and execute testing procedures to validate the effectiveness of internal control measures. Document testing results and recommend corrective actions for any deficiencies. Ensure timely communication of testing results, identified risks, and mitigation actions to relevant process owners. Documentation and Reporting: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of internal control processes, policies, and procedures. Prepare and present periodic reports to management and stakeholders on the status of internal controls, risk assessments, and recommended actions. Advisory and Consultation: Develop and deliver training programs to increase awareness of internal controls and compliance requirements. Provide guidance and support to departments to ensure compliance with internal control frameworks, policies, and delegation of authority. Act as an internal advisor to management and departments on matters of internal controls, compliance, and risk management. Collaborate with external auditors to identify and optimize improvement opportunities. Key Competencies and Attributes: Self-motivated with a drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail. Strong understanding of internal control frameworks, risk assessment methodologies, and regulatory requirements. Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration. Requirements:

Bachelor`s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant certifications such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Chartered Accountant (CA), or similar are preferred. A minimum of 3 years of experience in internal controls, auditing, risk management, or compliance. Expertise in data analytics (non-negotiable). Experience with Sarbanes Oxley (SOx) compliance. Proficiency with software tools (e.g., SAP, Power BI, SQL) for data analysis and documentation. Exposure to the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector in areas such as manufacturing, distribution, and finance is advantageous.
