Johannesburg: IT Auditor (Immediate)

Were looking for a skilled IT Auditor with 35 years of auditing experience to join our team in Fourways on either a subcontract or fixed-term contract basis. Key responsibilities: Assess the effectiveness of IT general controls (ITGCs) and application controls to ensure systems are secure, reliable, and compliant with regulations. Test access controls, change management, backup and recovery, and IT operations to support external and internal audit requirements. Identify potential risks in IT systems, networks, and processes that could affect the accuracy and reliability of financial or operational data. Review the design, development, and implementation of new IT systems to ensure adequate controls are built in. Provide audit evidence and documentation to external auditors for reliance on IT controls in financial statement audits. Verify that data privacy, cybersecurity, and compliance measures meet regulatory and company standards. Prepare clear audit reports summarizing findings, risks, and recommendations for remediation. Track and verify the implementation of agreed-upon corrective actions. Job Experience and Skills Required: CISA qualification (essential) knowledge of SAP, Oracle, other ERPs would be useful Proven experience in performing IT General Control (ITGC) reviews for external audit reliance Based in Johannesburg or Cape Town Immediate availability- to complete client engagement deliverables Apply now!
