About the Role
The IT Infrastructure Support Manager (L2) role at iqx, the Technology Division of iqbusiness, is a critical position that bridges operational support and engineering teams to ensure the stability, availability, and performance of software applications and underlying infrastructure. The successful candidate will lead second-line support teams and provide deep technical oversight, incident leadership, and continuous service improvement across production environments.
Key Responsibilities

- Bridge operational support and engineering teams to ensure cohesive architecture, operational efficiency, and secure systems.
- Manage the full lifecycle of software infrastructure, including middleware platforms, directory services, automation frameworks, and enterprise application integration.
- Act as a critical bridge between internal technology teams and external vendors.
- Ensure robust disaster recovery (DR) and IT continuity capabilities across the organization.
Requirements
- 8 years experience in software infrastructure, systems engineering, or integration roles.
- Diploma in relevant field (NQF 5).
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Demonstrated experience working with cross-functional teams and vendor partners.
- Strong experience with middleware (e.g., WebLogic, WebSphere, Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Azure Service Bus).
