About the Role

Telebest is seeking a highly experienced Senior Architect: Cloud Pre-sales to join our team in Johannesburg. As a key member of our cloud pre-sales team, you will be responsible for providing input into business cases, delivering customer POCs, and translating business requirements into technical architecture specifications. You will work collaboratively with global teams to create and execute research into the feasibility of customer-specific solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide input into business cases to understand costs, risk, and benefits of solutions.
• Deliver on customer POCs and ensure the testing criteria is clear and agreed upon.
• Commercial acumen must be used to deliver solutions that will fit within the customer’s budget.
• Provide input to the strategic direction of technology investments to assist in enterprise development.
• Translate business requirements into technical architecture specifications and models.
• Evaluate and select all technologies required to complete customer solutions considering data, security, functionality, and more.
• Occasionally participate in the supplier selection process and making appropriate recommendations.
• Review new and existing solution design projects and procurement plans for compliance with standard architecture plans.
• Maintain current OEM certifications and when required obtain new certificates.
• Work collaboratively with global teams to create and execute research into the feasibility of customer-specific solutions.
• Own the technical relationship with customers and provide guidance on security, cost, best-practice architectures, and more.
• Design Cloud product-specific pre-sales architecture within approved operational limits, as per product specifications.
• Provide input into the account management plans and go-to market plays.
• Provide technical input on pricing for tenders and proposals.
• Build and maintain technical relationships with customers and partners.
• Develop and design high-quality technical responses to RFPs or RFQs that meet customer requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or in another related field.
• Azure, AWS, or Google Solution Architect Expert Cloud certification.
• Fluent in English; French would be advantageous.
• 15+ years of experience in Information Technology and presales.
• Experience working in a large organization.
• Work experience across diverse cultures and geographies would be advantageous.
• Business and financial acumen.
