About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Key Account Manager to join our team in Johannesburg, responsible for managing and growing key accounts supplying coatings and colourant raw materials into the decorative, industrial, construction, ink, and automotive manufacturing industries. The successful candidate will have a strong commercial drive, analytical mindset, and good interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of managing strategic accounts and achieving sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and grow Key Accounts
Visit customer sites regularly to maintain visibility and gain insights into operational and technical needs
Provide technical advice and product recommendations for coating and related formulations
Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to align technical and commercial strategies
Prepare and execute account development plans and sales forecasts
Drive sales growth by introducing new raw materials, technologies, and innovative solutions

Requirements

A Matric or equivalent NQF level Tertiary qualification is essential for this role.
Previous coatings or colourants or inks raw material sales experience having sold into the surface coatings, decorative and industrial paint manufacturing industries is essential for the role.
