About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Lead Civil Engineer to join our team in Johannesburg, responsible for delivering high-quality civil engineering projects within the mining and industrial sectors. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background and excellent leadership skills to manage and mentor civil engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and deliver civil engineering projects within the mining and industrial sectors
Mentor and lead civil engineering teams to ensure high-quality technical output
Design, review, and oversee civil works including roads, earthworks, potable water, sewer reticulation, and pump stations
Act as a senior technical authority and provide sound engineering judgement
Build and maintain strong client relationships
Support and drive business development, including bringing in new work
Contribute to proposals, tenders, and project growth initiatives
Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders

Requirements

Degree in Civil Engineering
ECSA Registered
Minimum 3 years experience post-Pr registration
Demonstrated experience managing civil engineering teams
Strong technical background in roads, earthworks, potable water reticulation, sewer reticulation, and pump stations
