About the Role
The Machine Minder is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining printing machinery to ensure efficient production, high-quality output, and minimal downtime. This role supports production targets while maintaining safety and quality standards within the printing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate printing machines according to job specifications.
- Monitor machine performance during production runs.
- Adjust settings to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Inspect printed materials to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Identify and report defects or inconsistencies.
- Minimise waste and rework.
- Perform routine cleaning and basic machine maintenance.
- Identify mechanical faults and report major issues to maintenance.
- Assist technicians during repairs when required.
- Ensure daily production targets are achieved.
- Record production data accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area.
Requirements
Proven experience in the Printing Industry
Experience operating printing or related production machinery
Basic mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting ability
Qualifications
