About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Finance Manager to lead our financial function in Johannesburg, Kempton Park. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will have high visibility and the opportunity to shape processes and drive efficiencies. This is a fast-paced, growing manufacturing company that requires a finance professional with strong analytical, commercial, and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full financial function for the manufacturing plant
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis and margin reporting
- Lead month-end, year-end and audit processes
- Ensure accurate COGS calculation, BOM accuracy and stock/production accounting
- Strengthen financial controls, risk management and compliance
- Analyse variances, production efficiencies and key cost drivers
- Provide financial insights to operational and executive teams
- Manage working capital, cash flow and inventory performance
- Lead, mentor and develop the finance team
- Drive process optimisation and continuous improvement within finance and operations
Requirements
- Qualified CA(SA) completed articles required
- Minimum 5 years’ postâarticles experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of costing, bill of materials, stock management and production finance
- Advanced Excel skills and ERP systems experience (SAP/Oracle/Syspro advantageous)
- Strong analytical, commercial and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- High level of integrity, leadership ability and business partnering capability
