About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mid-Level Project Manager to lead projects of moderate complexity in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have 36 years of experience in IT/IM Project Management, a solid understanding of Agile and Waterfall/hybrid methodologies, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the full project lifecycle (initiate, plan, execute, monitor, close)
Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk registers
Act as primary contact for stakeholders, providing clear updates and transparent reporting
Coordinate resources, onboarding, and team activities while supporting squad-level mentoring
Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring compliance with client policies, SLAs, and requirements
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and uphold the client’s stamp of excellence

Requirements

36 years experience in IT/IM Project Management within managed or professional services
Solid knowledge of Agile and Waterfall/hybrid methodologies
Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, xPM
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Strong organisational, planning, and problem-solving skills
Relevant Bachelor’s Degree (IT, Business Management, Project Management) required

Qualifications

Professional certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, CSM) are advantageous
Experience in the mining sector is an added advantage
