Job Description
Financial Management & Reporting
Prepare, review, and analyse monthly management accounts and performance reports
Lead and manage balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Oversee VAT calculations, submissions, and reconciliations in line with SARS requirements
Support audit processes and prepare audit packs for both internal and external audits
Operational Finance
Assist in overseeing the broader finance operations, ensuring compliance with internal controls
Review and validate financial transactions, journals, and adjustments
Insurance-Specific Responsibilities
Perform financial oversight of claims processing, including reviewing claims provisions and reporting
Collaborate with claims and underwriting teams to ensure accurate financial recording and reporting
Contribute to the refinement of finance processes within the insurance environment
Skills & Experience:
Experience or exposure to the insurance or financial services sector advantageous
Strong technical skills with proven experience in:
Financial reconciliations
VAT and tax compliance
Management reporting
High attention to detail, analytical mindset, and strong problemsolving ability
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with crossfunctional teams
Qualification:
CA(SA), newly qualified or ELIGIBLE to register.
