Key Responsibilities:
Cashbook

• Weekly capturing and bank reconciliations
• Preparation and loading of supplier payments (including forex)

Debtors

• Invoicing according to CI’s, PO’s, and contractual terms
• Following up with customers on payment dates
• Customer account setup and onboarding

Creditors

• Submitting invoices for approval
• Preparing and maintaining accurate supplier reconciliations

Payroll

• Monthly calculation of sales representatives’ commission
• SARS Submissions
• Preparing and loading returns on eFiling
• VAT201 submissions

Job Experience and Skills Required:
Completed Bcom or Diploma in Finance
Minimum 3- 5 years of experience

Our client is looking for a skilled Bookkeeper to take ownership of key financial processes, support budgeting and forecasting cycles, and play an integral role in audits and financial governance.

This role is based in Linbro Park, Johannesburg North.

Key Responsibilities:

Daily & Monthly Financial Processing

• Capture and allocate supplier and sundry refunds to the correct accounts, ensuring bank clearing accounts are reconciled daily.
• Oversee and manage the cashbook function, ensuring all monthly reporting and processing deadlines are consistently achieved.

Budgeting & Forecasting

• Support the Finance team by gathering and consolidating budget submissions from relevant stakeholders.
• Assist in compiling accurate financial forecasts by coordinating required information across departments.

Audit Support

• Prepare year-end audit information and documentation for external auditors.
• Provide assistance during internal audits and recommend enhancements to internal controls where gaps are identified.

Banking & Payment Administration

• Authorise daily payments through the SAP banking platform in line with approved payment schedules.
• Maintain beneficiary records, update banking signatories, and ensure proper segregation of duties for all bank capturers and releasers.

Financial Analysis & Projects

• Assist with ad hoc financial analysis, reporting requirements, and special requests from management.
• Participate in Finance-led projects focused on improving operational efficiency and strengthening internal controls.

General Finance Support

• Provide ad hoc support to the Accountant and assist the Finance team with additional tasks as required.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

• Grade 12 (Matric) essential
• BCom degree with 3–5 years of bookkeeping experience
• 3 years’ experience working with SAP and Microsoft Office
• Solid understanding of Income Tax and VAT
• Strong Excel skills and proficiency in SAP
• Experience engaging with multiple stakeholders
• Ability to drive process improvements and meet strict deadlines
• Exposure to budgeting and forecasting processes
