About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Business Development Manager to join our team at Network Finance, based in Johannesburg North. As a key member of our public sector business development team, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, developing and implementing strategies to grow revenue and market share, and building strong relationships with key decision-makers in government departments, municipalities, and public institutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and pursue new business opportunities within the public sector.
- Develop and implement strategies to grow revenue and market share.
- Conduct market research to stay informed on government priorities, projects, and procurement trends.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in government departments, municipalities, and public institutions.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for public sector clients.
- Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and foster long-term partnerships.
- Monitor public sector tenders, requests for proposals (RFPs), and bids.
- Coordinate preparation and submission of tender documents in compliance with procurement regulations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop competitive proposals and pricing strategies.
- Negotiate terms and conditions with public sector clients.
- Monitor contract performance to ensure delivery against agreed commitments.
- Track business development activities, pipeline, and performance metrics.
- Provide regular reports to senior management on opportunities, risks, and achievements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Public Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably within the public sector.
- In-depth knowledge of public sector procurement processes, regulations, and tender management.
- Strong relationship management and networking skills.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strategic thinker with a results-driven approach and the ability to work independently.
Qualifications
- Completed Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Public Administration, or related field.
