About the Role
Our client is a well-established private wealth management firm operating in Johannesburg North. They are known for their professional standards, long-standing client relationships, and disciplined financial processes. The business operates in a highly regulated environment, which means precision, compliance, and trust are non-negotiable. This is a full-time, office-based role within a dynamic finance team, supporting the Treasury function and assisting with tax administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Administration of the Treasury function, including onboarding client static details and ensuring FICA compliance for individuals and entities
- Daily preparation of Treasury payments for review and approval
- Collection and coordination of client tax certificates from various investment houses
- Preparation of Forex Balance of Payments (BOP) forms for international transactions
- Preparation and submission of personal and company tax returns, ensuring full compliance with SARS requirements
- Ad hoc cashbook postings into Xero in support of the broader finance team
Requirements
- Relevant qualification in Finance, Accounting or a related field (advantageous)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in an administrative role
- Minimum 3 years’ experience engaging with SARS and/or preparing personal and company tax returns under the guidance of a registered tax practitioner
- Experience capturing creditor and/or treasury payment instructions
- Proven client service experience within a professional environment
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Working knowledge of Xero (advantageous)
- Sound understanding of basic finance processes including reconciliations and data capturing
- Strong understanding of confidentiality and compliance within a regulated environment
