About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Web Experience & Digital Content Specialist to join our team in Johannesburg North. As a key member of our digital communications team, you will be responsible for maintaining the functionality and user experience of our consumer website, as well as creating and implementing engaging digital content. Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain the functionality, navigation, and overall health of the organisation’s consumer website
  • Ensure all published content is accurate, brand-aligned, and up-to-date
  • Conduct regular page reviews and testing prior to publishing updates
  • Identify and resolve issues such as layout inconsistencies, broken links, display problems, and mobile responsiveness gaps
  • Implement ongoing content and structural updates using the organisation’s CMS
  • Build promotional landing pages, campaign-specific content hubs, and supporting digital assets
  • Translate briefs into functional and visually optimised web pages
  • Ensure content changes align with both global creative direction and local market needs
  • Flag technical issues and collaborate with internal or external technical teams to resolve them
  • Monitor site performance and escalate issues requiring development or platform-level attention
  • Assist in maintaining bestpractice standards for speed, accessibility, and usability
  • Contribute to organic visibility efforts through structured onpage SEO updates
  • Support keyword-related improvements, metadata optimisation, and link structure enhancements
  • Ensure content follows SEO and accessibility guidelines

Requirements

  • Experience
  • 3–5 years of experience working in website content management, digital publishing, or a similar role
  • Background in managing or supporting medium-to-large consumer websites
  • Familiarity with performance, accessibility, and user-experience best practices
  • Technical Skills
  • Working proficiency with CMS platforms
  • Basic understanding of HTML and CSS
  • Strong computer literacy across Microsoft Office and online management tools
  • Understanding of website analytics and optimisation fundamentals
