About the Role
As an Office Support Analyst (Manufacturing) in our Johannesburg office, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Maintenance Department, ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing electrical supplies business. Your duties will encompass a range of tasks that require attention to detail, organizational skills, and excellent communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Maintenance Department inventory
- Analyse and report on relevant Maintenance data
- Prepare Purchase Requisitions for new parts and projects
- Liaise with the Maintenance Manager regarding approved suppliers
- Conduct month-end stock counts and analysis
- Oversee that the Storeman keeps the store clean and well‑organized
- Ensure ISO requirements are implemented and adhered to
- Enforce policies, procedures, and safety regulations
- Supervise receiving of goods and parts
- Schedule and monitor servicing of forklifts, cranes, compressors, and scales
- Ensure new suppliers provide safety files before starting work on-site
- Update inventory and analyse spares usage for reporting
- Assist the Engineering and Maintenance Manager with daily tasks, incorporating both office support and PA responsibilities
Requirements
- Business Administration degree or a similar area of study
- Minimum of 5 years administrative experience in a maintenance, industrial, or related role
- Minimum of 35 years experience as a Personal Assistant
- Knowledge of ISO standards and safety compliance
- Knowledge of inventory management or storekeeping
- Foundational financial and mathematical skills
- Intermediate to advanced competency in Microsoft Office, with prominence in Excel
