About the Role

Route Management is seeking a Quality Inspector to join our team in Johannesburg. As a key member of our quality control department, you will be responsible for ensuring that all welding activities are conducted according to approved procedures and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

Ensuring that all welding activities are conducted according to approved procedures and industry standards.
Performing visual and other inspections as required.
Finding and recording any welding defects or non-conformances.
Keeping accurate records of inspection data, test results and quality control documents.
Submitting reports to QC Manager, documenting inspection findings and corrective actions.
Developing and maintaining quality control documentation, including standard operating procedures and inspection criteria.

Requirements

Able to read and interpret Engineering drawing requirements;
Previous experience in trailer/tanker/truck industry will be an advantage;
Matric;
Excellent communication skills;
Willing to work overtime when required;
Attention to detail;
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
Understanding Welding Procedure Specifications and code compliance.
