About the Role

Route Management is seeking a highly skilled Quality Inspector to join our team in Johannesburg. As a Quality Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all welding activities are conducted according to approved procedures and industry standards. You will be responsible for performing visual and other inspections as required, finding and recording any welding defects or non-conformances, and keeping accurate records of inspection data, test results, and quality control documents.

Key Responsibilities

Ensuring that all welding activities are conducted according to approved procedures and industry standards
Performing visual and other inspections as required
Finding and recording any welding defects or non-conformances
Keeping accurate records of inspection data, test results, and quality control documents
Submitting reports to QC Manager, documenting inspection findings and corrective actions

Requirements

Able to read and interpret Engineering drawing requirements
Previous experience in trailer/tanker/truck industry will be an advantage
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work overtime when required
Attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Understanding Welding Procedure Specifications and code compliance
