Johannesburg: Senior Business Analyst – IT3

We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst deliver a clear and actionable Business Requirement Specification (BRS) and supporting documentation for IT3 tax reporting from CL-STRUCT into Axiom. The role requires hands-on engagement with Tax, Finance, and Technology stakeholders to elicit requirements, map data flows, and define the integration approach that enables regulatory IT3 submissions to SARS.  Key Responsibilities:  Business Analysis Requirements: Elicit, document, and validate requirements for IT3 tax reporting from CL-STRUCT into Axiom. Produce Business Requirement Specifications (BRS), Functional Specifications (FS), and detailed data mapping documents. Facilitate workshops and interviews with tax, finance, and IT teams to capture end-to-end reporting needs. Data Systems Focus: Analyse source data within CL-STRUCT, identify required fields, and map them into Axiom reporting templates. Define lineage and transformation logic for IT3 tax data. Collaborate with developers, Axiom specialists, and integration teams to specify system interfaces and ETL requirements. Testing Validation: Support System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for IT3 reporting outputs. Validate tax data extracts against SARS compliance requirements. Track defects and ensure timely resolution. Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the liaison between Tax, Finance, Business, and Technology. Provide structured updates to programme managers and contribute to governance forums. Ensure alignment with regulatory timelines. Required Skills Experience: Business Analysis expertise with proven ability to write clear, testable specifications. Tax and Regulatory Reporting knowledge, particularly IT3 requirements. CL-STRUCT experience (preferred) or equivalent structured product/tax reporting systems knowledge. Strong data mapping and SQL skills, including working with ETL processes and lineage validation. Familiarity with Axiom platform (or similar regulatory reporting tools). Excellent documentation and communication skills (JIRA, Confluence, Visio, BPMN). Financial services background with exposure to structured products or tax reporting initiatives. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Taxation, Information Systems, or related field. 5 years of business analysis experience in financial services, ideally within regulatory reporting. Prior IT3 reporting or SARS compliance project experience strongly preferred.
