Hire Resolve’s client, a leading investment firm in Johannesburg, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Credit Analyst to join their team. As a Senior Credit Analyst, you will be responsible for assessing the creditworthiness of companies and evaluating investment opportunities. You will play a critical role in making informed investment decisions and managing the credit risk of the firm’s portfolio.

Your responsibilities will include analyzing financial statements, conducting industry research, assessing debt structures, and preparing detailed credit recommendations. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of financial markets and investment analysis, excellent analytical skills, and a proven track record in credit analysis and investments.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze financial statements, cash flow projections, and other relevant data to evaluate the creditworthiness of companies
• Conduct industry and market research to assess the risks and opportunities associated with investment opportunities
• Evaluate debt structures, covenants, and collateral to determine the appropriate credit ratings and terms
• Prepare detailed credit reports and investment memorandums with well-supported credit recommendations
• Monitor the credit portfolio and proactively identify potential credit risks or issues
• Collaborate with other teams within the firm, including the investment team, legal team, and risk management team
• Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes that may impact credit analysis and investment decisions

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, , Economics, Statistics, Mathematics or a related field
• Asset Management Experience
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in credit analysis, investment analysis, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of financial markets, investment analysis, and credit risk management
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
• Proven track record in assessing creditworthiness and making investment recommendations
• Advanced proficiency in financial statement analysis and financial modeling
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
