Senior HR Officer Role Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior HR Officer to play a strategic and hands-on role in managing and advancing HR functions across our global business. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of HR best practices and a proven track record in aligning HR initiatives with company objectives and culture. As a key member of our HR leadership team, you will lead operational HR functions while working closely with business leaders to drive growth, improve performance, and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. The Senior HR Officer will also coordinate with regional HR teams to maintain global consistency and foster continuous improvement across the HR function. Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and monitor strategic HR initiatives aligned with organizational goals. Lead HR projects that contribute to automation, digitization, and overall departmental efficiency. Guide the evolution of HR systems, manuals, processes, and best practices across the group. Collaborate with Directors on workforce planning, structure optimization, and succession planning. Draft, update, and enforce HR policies and procedures ensuring legal compliance across jurisdictions (e.g., USA, Canada, South Africa, Philippines, etc.). Liaise with legal consultants regarding contractor and employee matters and ensure compliance with relevant labour laws. Oversee end-to-end recruitment processes including job design, advertisements, interviews, offers, and onboarding. Ensure consistent use of CV databases and applicant tracking tools. Drive inclusive and high-quality hiring practices and positive candidate experiences. Supervise onboarding and offboarding checklists and ensure smooth transitions for new hires and exits. Maintain organizational charts in coordination with department heads. Lead the performance management cycle, including feedback mechanisms and performance review frameworks. Provide leadership in addressing and resolving employee relations issues. Oversee the accurate maintenance of HR records and systems (e.g., CW1, Payspace, HRIS). Support payroll processing in collaboration with Finance, including salaries, commissions, and bonuses. Monitor and report on HR metrics (KPIs), turnover trends, and workforce analytics. Coordinate staff engagement activities, including quarterly social events and recognition programs. Support initiatives to build and maintain a positive, inclusive, and high-performance work culture. Design and analyze confidential staff engagement surveys and present improvement strategies. Source, recommend, and coordinate training providers and learning initiatives. Promote continuous learning and track staff participation in L&D programs. Coordinate with regional HR team members to standardize contracts, policies, templates, and onboarding processes. Act as a senior advisor and coach to line managers on performance and employee development matters. Participate in special projects or HR initiatives as directed by the Directors. Contribute to internal communications related to HR programs and updates. Ensure confidentiality and professionalism in all aspects of the role. Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned by management. Qualifications required: Degree or Diploma in Human Resources Management or a related field. Minimum 4–6 years’ experience in a broad HR generalist or HR business partner role, preferably in a global or distributed environment. Minimum 2 years of Freight Forwarding experience. Strong understanding of employment legislation across multiple countries is advantageous. Proven ability to manage competing priorities, work independently, and drive initiatives from start to finish.
