Job Description Role Overview The Senior Marketing Manager will lead the overall marketing strategy, brand positioning, and execution for the company and its supported SMMEs. This role requires a strong mix of strategic vision and hands-on execution , ensuring all aspects of digital marketing, branding, content creation, and campaign execution are effectively managed. This role will drive the company`s brand growth while supporting SMMEs in website development, advertising campaigns, social media engagement, and content production (including graphic design, videos, and marketing assets). The ideal candidate will ensure that all marketing outputs meet the highest quality standards and directly impact business growth. Key Responsibilities 1. Strategic Planning & Leadership Develop and execute the company`s annual marketing strategy with clear goals and deliverables. Implement a task-tracking/work management system to optimize team efficiency. Align marketing efforts with the company`s business objectives and sales strategies . Provide marketing advisory and execution support to SMMEs, helping them optimize their marketing efforts. 2. Branding & Digital Marketing Execution Manage the company`s online presence by growing LinkedIn (3,000), Facebook (3,000), and Instagram (1,000), with a 10% engagement rate on LinkedIn. Lead content creation efforts including social media graphics, videos, carousels, and ad creatives for the company and SMMEs. Oversee website and landing page development for the company initiatives (Ember360, IgniteCon, Fireside Chats). Design and implement email marketing campaigns , ensuring a 15% open rate and 5% click-through rate . Manage Google Analytics and performance reporting to track digital campaign success. 3. Personal Branding for the company`s Leadership Support the founders digital brand growth by: Increasing LinkedIn followers by 30% (baseline: 14,000). Maintaining a 10% engagement rate on LinkedIn posts. Growing Instagram to 2,000 followers (8% engagement rate) . Establishing a TikTok presence , posting 1 video per week , achieving 5,000 followers and 10,000 total likes . 4. Campaign & Event Marketing Plan and execute marketing campaigns for: 2 IgniteCon events (100 attendees each, including 1 outside Gauteng). 4 Fireside Chats , securing 100 attendees per event and 2 sponsorships . 1 Entrepreneur Golf Day to expand brand reach. Ensure 50% user-generated content from SMMEs at events to increase engagement. 5. Content Production & Multimedia Design Produce monthly podcasts , achieving 1,000 downloads per episode . Create weekly YouTube Shorts with an engagement goal of 500 views per short . Design graphic content (social media posts, brochures, digital ads, video thumbnails) for UCA and SMMEs. Lead website development, redesigns, and UI/UX improvements for the company and SMMEs. 6. Marketing Analytics & Reporting Deliver monthly analytics reports on social media and campaign performance. Use Google Analytics and performance dashboards to optimize digital campaigns. Ensure a data-driven approach to campaign adjustments and strategy refinement. 7. Sales & Operations Collaboration Ensure 100% follow-up on all marketing-generated leads within 5 business days . Align marketing efforts with sales objectives , achieving a 10% B2C conversion rate at events . Work closely with SMMEs to optimize customer acquisition and retention strategies . 8. Team Development & Efficiency Conduct quarterly training for the team on Canva, Photoshop, and other design/marketing tools. Standardize marketing workflows by centralizing and templatizing marketing assets for improved efficiency. Enforce quality control measures on all marketing outputs.
