About the Role
Unique Personnel Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and deliver complex mining and EPC capital projects from initiation through to completion. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are executed safely, on schedule, within approved budgets, and in compliance with technical, contractual, legal, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and close-out of large-scale mining and EPC projects.
- Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Oversee engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
- Manage EPC contractors, consultants, and internal project teams to ensure performance against contractual obligations.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and mining regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks, changes, claims, and variations in collaboration with Legal and Contract Management teams.
- Monitor project progress, cost performance, and quality, and report regularly to senior management and governance committees.
Requirements
- Extensive experience managing large-scale mining or EPC projects.
- Proven track record of delivering capital projects on time and within budget.
- Strong understanding of EPC contracts, project controls, and risk management.
- Experience working in regulated mining or heavy industrial environments.
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in complex operational settings.
Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related technical discipline.
- Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent).
- Professional registration (e.g. ECSA or equivalent) advantageous.
