Duties and Responsibilities: Pattern Development: Create accurate flat patterns from 3D models using geometric methods Fabrication: Cut, bend, and shape sheet metal using various tools Assembly: Join components through welding, soldering, or riveting Design & Modeling: Utilize CAD software to design components and generate models Quality Control: Inspect finished components for compliance and accuracy Key Skills & Knowledge: Strong technical understanding of metals, welding processes, and blueprint interpretation Proficiency in CAD/CAM programs like SolidWorks and Fusion 360 Ability to meet physical requirements of workshop environments Requirements: Certificate/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field Grade 12 5-10 years’ experience in sheet metal development Proficiency in CAD and sheet metal design software Knowledge of fabrication processes and technical drawings Attention to detail and problem-solving skills Good communication and teamwork abilities
