About the Role

The business operates within a complex production environment where accurate costing, inventory control, and financial insight play a critical role in maintaining profitability and supporting operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and manage standard costing models across product lines
- Monitor and analyse manufacturing variances, including material, labour, and overheads
- Review and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and ensure costing accuracy within the ERP system
- Work closely with production, procurement, and operations teams to improve cost control and efficiency
- Conduct inventory analysis, including stock valuation and reconciliation
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cost planning for manufacturing operations
- Prepare cost reports and margin analysis to support management decision-making
- Support month-end processes including inventory journals and cost-related reporting
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings
Requirements
- BCom Accounting / Finance or relevant finance qualification
- 3–5 years’ experience in a Cost Accountant or similar role within manufacturing
- Strong understanding of standard costing, inventory management, and variance analysis
- Experience working with ERP systems in a production environment
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical ability
- Ability to engage with operations and production teams effectively
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive and solutions-driven mindset
