Job Description

Hire Resolve’s Client is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Tax Practitioner/Consultant to join an established firm. In this role, you will provide comprehensive tax consulting and compliance services to a diverse range of clients. Your expertise in tax laws and regulations will ensure that clients receive proactive advice and strategies to optimize their tax positions.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review corporate and personal tax returns to ensure compliance with applicable laws
  • Identify tax planning opportunities for clients to reduce tax liabilities
  • Assist clients with tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities
  • Research and interpret complex tax issues, providing sound recommendations
  • Maintain client relationships through effective communication and follow-ups
  • Stay current with changes in tax regulations and practices
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff members

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in tax consulting or compliance, including 2-3 years of unsupervised work
  • Tax Practitioner License or eligibility
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CA, or similar) is highly desirable
  • In-depth knowledge of tax laws and regulations
  • Proficiency in tax calculations and submissions for:
    • Income tax
    • Withholding tax (WHT)
    • Other core relevant tax matters
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Strong understanding of SARS processes and protocols
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience in handling tax objections and related processes
