About the Role
Hire Resolve is looking for a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Tax Consultant/Practitioner to join a reputable firm in the industry. As a Tax Consultant/Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing expert tax advice, preparing tax returns, and ensuring compliance with all relevant tax regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships
- Provide tax planning strategies and advice to clients
- Conduct thorough research on tax legislation and contribute to developing tax compliance strategies
- Manage client engagements and maintain strong client relationships
- Assist clients with tax audits and handle inquiries from tax authorities
- Stay current with tax law changes and updates, ensuring compliance
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation related to tax filings
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize tax strategies for clients
Requirements
- Experience in estate tax and tax administration
- Knowledge of trust tax
- Up-to-date on current tax policy changes
- Experience in advising and consulting on Individual and Corporate Taxes
- 3-5 years of experience in individual and company tax services, including 2-3 years of unsupervised work
- Tax Related Qualification
- Tax Practitioner License or eligibility
- Proficiency in tax calculations and submissions for:
- Income tax
- Withholding tax (WHT)
- Other core relevant tax matters
- Strong understanding of SARS processes and protocols
- Experience in handling tax objections and related processes
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
- Highly organised
