Purpose: Under general supervision, reviews, processes, or holds for disposition, purchase requests received from departments; identifies, analyses, and resolves purchasing issues within the Benoni facility; responsible for identifying cost saving opportunities, processing improvements, and assisting with the negotiation of contractual agreements, managing supplier relationships. Coordinate and monitor all activities of the Supply area, including the storage of materials and supplies in the warehouse. Principal Accountabilities: May include any and/or all the following: Prepares, analyses, and coordinates with local suppliers for efficient delivery of products and services; tracks and develops reports to identify progress of cost saving initiatives for the facility. Reviews and processes purchase requisitions, purchase order adjustments, and local purchases; develops and assists with implementation of processes for efficiency improvements; provides customer service and departmental support. Supervise the quality of products and process from the supply area. Analyses, identifies, and communicates information regarding purchase orders from vendors; identifies, researches, and resolves problems relating to purchasing issues. Develops departmental communications; maintains and updates departmental inventories for certain items, i.e., safety supplies and maintenance MRO. Verifies and inputs vendor data into system; initiates purchase requisitions and Purchase Orders as necessary. Coordinate duties and administrative issues within the supply department. Responsible for monthly and annual stock counts. Responsible for continuous improvement with regards to use of systems to manage stock and supplier transactions. Other tasks assigned by the leader. Comply with the laws and regulations of the department and the company““s quality, safety, environment and occupational health management regulations. According to the company““s annual quality/EHS target, set the department““s quality EHS target, and plan the measures to achieve the target, and promote the implementation after approval. Define quality/EHS responsibilities of department members and conduct assessment. Responsible for quality/EHS training for department members. Responsible for performance management and development for department members. Participate and support all company audit program, internal or external including ISO system. Requirements:

Education and Experience Bachelors degree and 3 to 7 years of related experience in purchasing field, preferable in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of product and service purchasing policies and practices. Interpersonal/human relations skills. Verbal and written communication skills. Negotiation skills. Report preparation skills.
