Responsibilities
- Manage the toolroom budget, controlling costs and optimizing resource allocation
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess team performance and operational efficiency
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance quality, productivity, and cost-effectiveness
- Provide technical leadership to the toolmaking team, mentoring junior staff and driving continuous improvement
- Present financial reports, project updates, and performance metrics to senior management and stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align tooling operations with broader business strategies and goals
Requirements
- Certified Toolmaker with 7+ years of relevant experience
- A degree or diploma in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field is highly valuable
- Expertise in pneumatics, hydraulics, and plastic injection molding
- Proficient in CNC programming and CAD software (SolidWorks, Edgecam, Mastercam)
- Strong leadership skills with proven experience managing teams and cross-functional projects
- Financial acumen with experience in budgeting, cost control, and KPI management
- Ability to deliver presentations and reports to stakeholders, with a focus on financial and operational metrics
- Strategic thinking and process improvement capabilities
- Experience with mold manufacturing, repair, and maintenance, including hot runner systems
