Hire Resolve is seeking an experienced Tooling Manager to join their client’s team, a global leader in plastic product manufacturing. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the toolroom budget, controlling costs and optimizing resource allocation
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess team performance and operational efficiency
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance quality, productivity, and cost-effectiveness
  • Provide technical leadership to the toolmaking team, mentoring junior staff and driving continuous improvement
  • Present financial reports, project updates, and performance metrics to senior management and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align tooling operations with broader business strategies and goals

Requirements

  • Certified Toolmaker with 7+ years of relevant experience
  • A degree or diploma in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field is highly valuable
  • Expertise in pneumatics, hydraulics, and plastic injection molding
  • Proficient in CNC programming and CAD software (SolidWorks, Edgecam, Mastercam)
  • Strong leadership skills with proven experience managing teams and cross-functional projects
  • Financial acumen with experience in budgeting, cost control, and KPI management
  • Ability to deliver presentations and reports to stakeholders, with a focus on financial and operational metrics
  • Strategic thinking and process improvement capabilities
  • Experience with mold manufacturing, repair, and maintenance, including hot runner systems
